Marilyn Parigian considers herself to be a daughter of the Old South and the many facets of her paintings are a reflection of that concept. Magnolias, seascapes and sea creatures are a specialty M.Parigian, as she signs her work, feels she was born to be an artist. It wasn't until about two years of age that she managed to get her hands of some crayons and re-decorate her Grandmother's newly hung wallpaper. The scent of turpentine lured her when a favorite aunt took her to a painting class when she was eight. Her lifelong passion for art is a blessing she has chosen to share with others. Thirty years experience teaching in oils, acrylics and watercolor has proved both inspirational and motivational as a practicing artist. Marilyn feels that if you have been given a blessing, it should be shared. Ideally through her art, which stems from deep within, you will discover parts of your soul that were previously hidden. Her paintings will give you years of pleasure and become an heirloom to pass along to your loved ones. Her home is in Fayetteville, Georgia. Her studio, which she lovingly calls "The Dungeon" serves as her Gallery and her prize winning work hangs in many collections in the United States and foreign countries.
